Roles and Responsibilities
As an Associate, Middle Office I, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, reconciliations, and reporting. You will collaborate with internal teams, third-party stakeholders, and clients to deliver exceptional service and meet the financial goals of the firm.
Reconciliation and Break Resolution:
- Reconcile cash, asset, trade matching, and market value to third-party data.
- Perform break assignment and resolution of reconciliation discrepancies and failing trades.
- Ensure timely completion of reconciliation tasks and escalate complex issues to senior team members.
Trade Data Management:
- Maintain and update trade static data.
- Oversee trade enrichment, trade exception handling, and market claims processes.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline trade processes and minimize errors.
Portfolio Valuation and Reporting:
- Manage the daily portfolio valuation processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Engage in exception processing for portfolio valuation breaks.
- Support the monthly accounting close processes and prepare cash projection reports.
Client Interaction:
- Handle basic client inquiries and provide prompt resolutions to issues.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction by responding to routine questions and assisting with any discrepancies.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver superior financial solutions.
- Contribute to the achievement of team objectives through exceptional communication and teamwork.
- Participate in monthly end-client statement delivery and assist in ad hoc reporting when required.
Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you need a mix of technical and interpersonal skills. You will be working with complex financial data and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders. Here’s what you’ll need to bring:
Education:
A Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or any other relevant field is required.Experience:
0 to 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or middle office operations. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.Technical Skills:
- Experience with reconciliation processes and portfolio management systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of trade exception handling, trade data maintenance, and cash management is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is beneficial.
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.Problem-Solving Skills:
