Job Responsibilities
As an Android Developer at Groww, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality mobile applications that improve our users’ experience. Your role will include the following key responsibilities:
- Application Development: Develop and implement Android mobile applications with a strong focus on performance, usability, and user experience.
- Core Android Components: Work extensively with Android core components, including Activities, Services, Intents, Broadcast Receivers, Content Providers, and Handlers.
- UI/UX Expertise: Utilize your expertise in UI components and controls to create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces using elements like Action Bars, Widgets, Fragments, and Constraint Layouts.
- Architecture and Design: Develop applications using clean architecture principles, ensuring code is modular, scalable, and maintainable.
- Web Service Integration: Work on integrating mobile applications with web services via RESTful APIs, JSON, and XML using popular libraries such as Retrofit and OkHttp.
- New Technologies: Stay updated on the latest Android technologies, ensuring that the mobile solutions you create are modern and efficient.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the product, design, and backend teams to create cohesive mobile applications that deliver seamless user experiences.
Skills and Qualifications

- Strong understanding of modern UI components and controls.
- Knowledge of Android Fundamentals: Hands-on experience with Android’s Activity lifecycle, services, broadcast receivers, and content providers.
