About the Role:
As an Associate Software Developer at Anthology, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Anthology’s product suite, working on cutting-edge projects, and contributing to the company's growth in the SaaS (Software as a Service) space. You will be part of an agile development team, actively participating in SCRUM ceremonies, and will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Code Development & Testing: Design, develop, and implement software enhancements for Anthology’s product suite. Conduct unit testing to ensure quality and performance.
Product Maintenance: Assist in stabilizing and maintaining the software suite by identifying root causes of issues and recommending improvements.
SCRUM Participation: Actively engage in SCRUM ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, providing valuable input and suggestions to improve team performance.
Solution Development: Analyze business requirements and design technical solutions that address impacted areas. Offer multiple alternatives to resolve issues and concerns.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with your team and contribute to shared goals and team commitments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Educational Background: A B.E., B.Tech., or MCA degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is required.
Experience Level: 0-2 years of experience in commercial software development, preferably in a SaaS-based environment.
Strong Coding Skills: Proficiency in software development, with the ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code. Familiarity with OOPS concepts, multi-threading, and RDBMS/SQL is essential.
Debugging & Troubleshooting: Solid debugging and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues effectively.
Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with SCRUM or other agile methodologies. Experience working in an agile team environment is a plus.
Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to assess business needs and deliver practical solutions. Attention to detail is key to ensuring the quality of work.
Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to address software challenges creatively.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English, are crucial for effective teamwork and client interaction.
Teamwork: Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues across different departments.
