Roles and Responsibilities

As a Reporting and Data Analyst at S&P Global, you will be responsible for the following key tasks:

1. Develop Reporting and Automation Solutions:
   Design and implement efficient reporting solutions for Cloud Cost Allocation, Cloud Governance KPIs, Data Governance, and Forecasting Support. Ensure that solutions are streamlined and scalable for future needs.

2. Data Governance:
   Assist in performing essential data governance tasks that maintain data quality, consistency, and compliance across multiple business functions. This includes the creation of reports that ensure our data is reliable and actionable.

3. Data Analysis and Interpretation:
   Use advanced tools such as Excel, Alteryx, Power BI, Python, SQL, Cloudability, and Dremio to analyze large and complex data sets. Your insights will directly impact business decisions, helping optimize reporting processes and enhancing overall efficiency.

4. Cross-functional Collaboration:
   Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs, collaborating on solutions that address requirements effectively. You will liaise with various departments to develop robust reporting strategies.

5. Process Documentation:
   Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of all reporting and data management processes, ensuring transparency and ease of use for stakeholders.

6. Process Improvement:
   Continuously look for opportunities to improve data management and reporting processes. Be proactive in identifying areas where automation and data-driven solutions can bring efficiencies.

7. Operational Support:
   Provide ongoing support for the reports and solutions you have developed, as well as for projects initiated by other team members. Assist with the monthly close process, ensuring all reports are timely and accurate.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Expertise in Excel:
  Strong working knowledge of Excel, including advanced features like pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, and data visualization tools.

• Experience with Data Tools:
  Familiarity with one or more of the following tools is highly desirable:

  • Alteryx
  • SQL
  • Power BI
  • Python
  • Cloudability
  • Dremio
    Experience with these tools will help you manage and interpret large datasets effectively.

• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
  Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities are critical for this role. You must be able to identify key insights from data and provide actionable recommendations.

• Communication and Collaboration:
