Key Responsibilities

As a Quality Assurance Analyst at Amazon, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Troubleshooting and Debugging: Use debug settings to identify and troubleshoot issues, sharing detailed bug reports with necessary logs to support the development process.
2. Automated Testing: Run automated tests, analyse failures, and provide actionable insights to improve software quality.
3. Issue Reporting: Accurately identify, deep dive, and report issues, ensuring timely resolution by collaborating with engineering teams.
4. Test Environment Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the test environment, ensuring it is set up correctly for efficient testing.
5. Process Improvement: Challenge the status quo, recommend improvements, and implement best practices to enhance the quality assurance process.
6. Data Analysis: Analyse data to identify patterns, providing feedback that drives improvements in software quality and performance.
7. Collaboration: Work with engineers to identify root causes of issues and propose solutions to enhance product reliability.
8. Mentorship: Actively participate in team meetings and mentor new recruits to foster a culture of learning and collaboration.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Quality Assurance Knowledge: Basic understanding of quality concepts and data analysis principles.
• Statistical Acumen: Familiarity with statistics and the ability to detect patterns in data to inform decision-making.
• Proficiency in MS Office: Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office tools.
• SQL and Macros Knowledge: Competence in SQL and Macros for data manipulation and analysis.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical ability and QA acumen, with a keen attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Independent Work Ethic: Proven ability to work productively and efficiently in an independent setting while meeting deadlines.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
