Roles and Responsibilities

As a FinOps Analyst at Amazon, you will be responsible for:

• Invoice Matching: Accurately match invoices from the IMDEX system, ensuring they align with company policies and standards.
• Maintain Accuracy Levels: Achieve and maintain an accuracy level above 98%, ensuring high-quality financial data.
• Productivity Target: Meet or exceed the productivity targets set by the team, contributing to overall financial efficiency.
• Vendor Statement Preparation: Prepare vendor statements, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date.
• Credits and Returns Research: Investigate and resolve credits and returns, ensuring timely processing.
• Payment Holds Research: Process and resolve payment holds to ensure timely vendor payments.
• Quality Checks: Conduct thorough quality checks for matched invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company guidelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

• Degree or Master’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 0 – 1 year of experience in the accounting field, preferably in BPO environments focused on reconciliations and invoice exception queue management.
• Knowledge of Oracle Financials: Familiarity with financial management software, especially Oracle Financials, will be advantageous.
• Six Sigma Methodologies: Experience in Six Sigma methodologies is a plus. Participating in Lean projects, quality circles, and creative workgroups can set you apart.
• Desktop Applications: Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel, or similar desktop applications, is essential.
• Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are key to this role, ensuring smooth collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Typing Skills: A typing speed of 25-30 words per minute with at least 90% accuracy is required to handle the role's daily tasks efficiently.
