Job Responsibilities:

As a QA Engineer at Creditsafe, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and Maintaining Test Artifacts: Create and maintain automated test artifacts using tools like Cypress and Postman to ensure efficient and effective test coverage.

  • Conducting Functional, Non-Functional, and Acceptance Testing: Perform testing activities according to the defined test strategy and processes to ensure product quality.

  • Promoting a Whole-Team Approach to Quality: Collaborate with your Agile team to embed quality at every stage of the software development lifecycle, advocating for appropriate levels of testing.

  • Regression Testing: Manage and coordinate regression testing activities during the development cycle, ensuring that existing functionalities remain unaffected by new changes.

  • Quality Specialist within the Agile Team: Serve as the quality expert within your Agile team, guiding the testing strategy and process to ensure robust testing practices.

  • Documentation: Accurately document test approaches, processes, and tasks using tools such as JIRA, TFS, or Azure Boards.

  • Exploratory Testing: Conduct exploratory testing to discover potential issues outside of scripted tests, ensuring a well-rounded testing approach.

  • Peer Reviews: Review test artifacts produced by other team members, ensuring high-quality documentation and execution.

  • Performance Testing Strategies: Understand and apply performance testing strategies to measure and improve the system’s efficiency under load.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Agile Development Methodologies: A good understanding of Agile development methodologies and how QA activities fit within the Agile framework.

  • Test Automation Skills: Experience in reading and writing code for automation, preferably using Cypress and Postman.

  • BDD, Unit, Integration, and Acceptance Testing: Practical knowledge of various testing approaches, including Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), unit testing, integration testing, and acceptance testing.

  • Defect Management Lifecycle: A solid understanding of the defect management lifecycle to identify, track, and resolve issues efficiently.

  • Web Technologies: Practical knowledge of web technologies, including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

  • API Testing and REST: Experience testing APIs and working with RESTful services to ensure seamless integration between services.

  • Cloud Technology: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and experience with CI/CD pipelines.

  • Exploratory Testing: Ability to conduct exploratory testing to find edge cases and potential vulnerabilities in the application.

  • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): A comprehensive understanding of the SDLC and the role testing plays at each phase.
