Roles and Responsibilities:
As an Analyst at KPMG, you will be an integral part of the team, helping clients assess and manage business risks. Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting Due Diligence: Perform Integrity Due Diligence, Counterparty Due Diligence, and Senior Management Due Diligence to help clients evaluate reputation, regulatory, and jurisdictional risks associated with potential business partners and investments.
In-Depth Research: Conduct research using online sources, such as commercial registries, corporate databases, and public records, to gather comprehensive information about entities and individuals in various countries and industries.
Risk Assessment: Analyze findings from research and due diligence activities, summarizing key information in concise, clear reports to deliver actionable insights to clients.
Language Skills: If applicable, translate and summarize relevant information from foreign languages into precise English reports, helping clients understand risks in international markets.
Report Preparation: Prepare detailed reports on clients' counterparty risks, regulatory issues, and ownership structures, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
Client Interaction: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and quality delivery of due diligence reports, maintaining regular communication with clients to address queries and provide updates on ongoing projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a combination of research skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail. Key qualifications include:
Bachelor’s Degree: A bachelor’s degree in commerce or a related field is essential.
Strong Research Skills: Ability to conduct secondary research across multiple databases and sources, synthesizing large volumes of information into clear, concise summaries.
Basic Accounting Knowledge: Understanding of financial statements and accounting principles to assess the financial health of entities.
Understanding of Regulatory Frameworks: Knowledge of corporate structures, including complex ownership hierarchies and the ability to interpret legal documents and external research sources.
Experience with Databases: Familiarity with screening databases like LexisNexis, World-Check, Dow Jones, and Google News for negative news and regulatory compliance checks.
