Job Role: Software Test Engineer

We are currently seeking driven and detail-oriented fresh graduates or candidates with up to two years of experience who possess programming expertise and a solid understanding of test automation and networking technologies. This role offers the chance to work remotely from anywhere in India, providing flexibility and exposure to global projects.

Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: Freshers and candidates with up to 2 years of experience are welcome.

Skills Required

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:

• Strong programming knowledge in C, C++, Java, and Python.
• Proficiency in test automation and software development practices.
• Comprehensive understanding of 2G/3G/LTE/5G network technologies.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Shell scripts, TCL scripts, Python, and Perl.
• Experience with modem/UE protocol stack testing.
• Ability to understand network scenarios, including signaling and user plane call flow.
• Strong analytical and logical thinking skills for problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Job Responsibilities

As a Software Test Engineer at Sasken Technologies, you will be responsible for:

1. Software Testing & Automation: Develop and execute test plans and test cases using an automation framework. You will also create and maintain test scripts for effective automation and manual testing.

2. Network Testing: Leverage your knowledge of network technologies, including 2G/3G/LTE/5G, to test and validate modem/UE protocol stack functionality, ensuring all components operate seamlessly under different scenarios.

3. Troubleshooting & Debugging: Collect logs, analyze issues, and debug problems identified during regression testing. You will work closely with senior engineers to resolve critical system bugs.

4. Documentation & Reporting: Prepare comprehensive documentation for test cases, results, and bug reports. Ensure all deliverables are thoroughly reviewed and adhere to the company’s quality guidelines.

5. Team Collaboration: Work under the close supervision of your team lead or project manager. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to understand requirements and implement effective testing strategies.

6. Continuous Learning: Enhance your technical skills by attending training sessions, engaging in self-study, and participating in technical assessments. You will be expected to stay updated with the latest trends in software testing and automation.
