Job Description

As a System Software Engineer at Siemens, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing engineering solutions that cater to both local and international clients. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Design Engineering: Work on the design and development of control, protection, and substation automation systems across various voltage levels. You will interact with central/state/private utilities, industries, and infrastructure power systems both in India and abroad.

2. Project Design Lifecycle: Oversee the project design lifecycle, which includes:

   • Understanding client requirements and preparing detailed designs, documentation, and calculations.
   • Securing approvals for designs from clients and stakeholders.
   • Coordinating material orders and supporting the factory and project management teams for the successful execution of projects.

3. Detailed Design Documentation: Prepare essential design documentation, including control and protection layouts, bills of materials, schematics, configuration architecture, and project-specific documents using CAD systems.

4. Customer Interaction: Communicate directly with clients for drawing approvals and to resolve any technical queries. Your role will require you to be proactive in understanding customer needs and delivering solutions that exceed their expectations.

5. Material and Load Management: Initiate material loading to the factory for procurement, fabrication, and wiring of systems under scope. You will work closely with the factory team to ensure timely delivery and quality assurance.

6. Collaboration with Sales and Commissioning Teams: Provide support to sales teams, factory personnel, and commissioning teams as needed. You will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth transition from design to implementation, delivering optimal results to our clients.
