Job Role: Software Engineer – Data Scientist

As a Software Engineer – Data Scientist at Swiggy, you will be at the core of building and optimizing machine learning (ML) solutions for various business lines, including Food and Instamart. Your focus will be on creating scalable and pragmatic solutions for ad recommendations, user response models, and campaign performance optimization. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize machine learning models to enhance ad recommendations and user experience across Swiggy’s platforms.
• Apply advanced ML/DL/statistical techniques to solve complex business problems and improve campaign performance.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and analysts, to define requirements and deliver end-to-end data science solutions.
• Extract, mine, and analyze large datasets from Swiggy’s vast historical data to identify trends, develop insights, and propose innovative solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in ML research, particularly in ad bidding algorithms and recommendation systems, and implement them to address Swiggy's unique challenges.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to present findings and insights through written reports, presentations, and technical talks.

Desired Skill Set:

1. Proficiency in Programming Languages: Strong hands-on experience with Python, SQL, Spark, TensorFlow, and pandas.
2. Machine Learning Expertise: A solid understanding of machine learning and deep learning frameworks, especially in designing models for recommendation systems and optimization algorithms.
3. Data Manipulation: Experience with large-scale data manipulation and analysis, including working knowledge of SQL, Excel, and data science libraries in Python.
