Job Role: Technical Support Engineer
As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, supervising, and supporting high-transaction volume Java Enterprise Edition applications developed by Syncron. This role is essential in ensuring that our global clients receive exceptional support for their cloud-based applications. You will handle customer cases, troubleshoot issues, and provide proactive supervision for Syncron’s advanced applications, ensuring smooth operations and helping clients achieve maximum value from our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Technical & Business Support: Offer both technical and business support to Syncron’s global customer base, ensuring quick resolutions and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
- Analyze & Document Requirements: Work closely with customers to gather, analyze, and document their business requirements, ensuring our solutions meet their unique needs.
- Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Perform detailed fault isolation, root cause analysis, and provide technical resolutions for complex technical issues. Familiarity with Java source code will help in efficient bug-fixing and troubleshooting.
- Application Maintenance: Handle customer cases through Syncron’s case management tools. These cases can range from basic functionality questions to complex technical or business inquiries that require in-depth knowledge of both the application and the customer’s business processes.
- Proactive Application Monitoring: Engage in proactive supervision of applications, ensuring seamless operation and issue prevention before they impact the customer.
- Customer Engagement: Work closely with customers to configure Syncron’s products to meet their business needs. Assist customers with best practices and troubleshooting, ensuring they get the best value from our solutions.
- Case Management: Use Syncron’s ticketing system to track, manage, and resolve customer cases, ensuring timely follow-ups and resolutions.
- Knowledge Base Management: Contribute to Syncron’s Knowledge Base by creating documentation on resolutions, best practices, and issue logs for both internal and external use.
Key Skills & Qualifications:

- Programming Knowledge: Proficiency in Java Enterprise Edition or other object-oriented programming languages is crucial. Experience in reading Java source code and debugging will be a strong advantage.
- SQL & PostgreSQL: Experience with SQL databases is a must, with preference given to candidates familiar with PostgreSQL.
- XML & Data Formats: Understanding of XML, data formats, and data transmission technologies.
