Role Overview: Software Development Test Engineer (Java)
As a Software Development Test Engineer (Java), you’ll be working with the End-to-End (E2E) team. This role combines software development, testing acumen, and quality assurance to ensure Adobe Cloud Platform features meet functionality, performance, and scalability standards.
You’ll design, develop, and implement scalable automation strategies and work alongside a world-class engineering team in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:- BTech/MTech in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience:- Open to both freshers and experienced professionals with a strong technical foundation.
Key Skills Required
Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in Java, data structures, and software design principles.
- Hands-on experience with TestNG, JUnit, and REST Assured for API automation and testing methodologies.
- Strong understanding of modern REST APIs and experience in automation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Maven, and version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of scalable software design patterns and best practices.
Additional Skills (a Plus):
- Familiarity with Python, JavaScript, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Splunk.
- Understanding distributed systems, caching, and modern system architectures.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
Job Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test strategies to ensure product functionality, performance, and scalability.
- Design, automate, and manage test cases for regression testing, defect management, and execution.
- Collaborate with the development team to create and deliver key product features.
- Automate test plans, harnesses, and execution for improved efficiency.
Quality Assurance & Advocacy:
- Maintain end-to-end ownership of assigned features and automation processes.
- Actively advocate for customer-centric designs and test strategies to enhance user experience.
- Ensure overall product quality, leveraging modern test methodologies and processes.
Team Collaboration:
- Participate in Agile development cycles, contributing as an individual team member.
- Share technical expertise to foster growth within the team.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on risk analysis and defect containment.
