Location: Chennai & Pune
Salary: 8 LPA – 12 LPA
Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree

Essential Skills and Technical Requirements

  • Advanced Excel Proficiency: Expertise in Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data visualization.
  • Data Automation Knowledge: Familiarity with Power Query, VBA, and macros to automate data processes efficiently.
  • ETL & Relational Data Structures: Understanding of SQL, data integrity principles, and data extraction and transformation (ETL) processes.
  • Data Visualization Platforms: Proficiency in Power BI and/or Tableau to deliver intuitive and insightful visualizations.
  • Broad HR Data Knowledge: Experience with HR metrics and data reporting across various HR functions.
  • Bonus Skills: Any knowledge of Qlik Sense and Workday would be an asset.
  • Microsoft Power Platform Experience: Familiarity with Power Apps, Power Automate, or other Microsoft Power Platform tools.
  • Analytical Problem Solving: Ability to approach data challenges with creativity, analytical reasoning, and effective solutions.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex ideas clearly.

Key Responsibilities

As a Software Product Developer at Barclays, you will be central to creating innovative data products that serve a critical role in HR, helping stakeholders across the bank to make data-driven decisions. Key duties include:
Data Transformation and Insight Generation

  • Analyze, shape, and interpret HR data to create meaningful insights from various sources and systems.
  • Implement automation techniques to facilitate streamlined, accurate data extraction, transformation, and output processes.
Business Intelligence (BI) Solutions Delivery
  • Build BI solutions, including multi-dimensional database models, data marts, and data warehousing structures to support essential decision-making across the bank.
  • Develop custom dashboards, reports, and data models to clearly communicate Barclays’ key business KPIs and performance metrics.
Data Extraction and Cleansing
  • Manage data extraction, cleansing, and maintenance from diverse sources such as internal systems, external databases, and market feeds.
  • Ensure the highest level of data integrity and accuracy in all reports and analyses.
Report Development and Custom Query Creation
  • Design and develop dashboards and custom reports to address specific business questions and provide insights to various levels of management within the bank.
KPI Monitoring and Performance Tracking
  • Track and monitor KPIs, highlighting trends, anomalies, and patterns that may affect the bank’s performance.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to improve performance based on data findings.
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs, and develop tailored solutions that align with Barclays’ objectives, regulatory standards, and data governance policies.
  • Engage in discussions and planning sessions to ensure alignment of business goals with technical solutions.
Continuous Improvement and Automation
  • Identify opportunities to improve and automate reporting and metrics provision, ensuring data solutions are as efficient and effective as possible.
