Job Role: Software Engineer
As a Software Engineer at HPE, you will work on designing, coding, testing, and debugging firmware and software systems. Your role will involve collaborating with experienced professionals to develop high-quality, reliable solutions that drive the future of technology.
Key Responsibilities
Firmware Development
- Analyze, design, program, debug, and modify firmware for embedded systems, BIOS, and DSP components.
- Work on both analog and digital hardware integrated with real-time operating systems.
Testing and Debugging
- Execute established test plans and protocols, identify issues, and log and debug them effectively.
- Participate in iterative testing and refinement to ensure optimal system performance.
Software Design
- Design software systems to function across multiple platform types.
- Code and implement enhancements and updates for various firmware subsystems.
Collaboration and Partnership
- Work closely with internal and outsourced development partners for firmware design and implementation.
- Be an active member of a project team, contributing to analysis, recommendations, and technical solutions.
Project Support
- Develop cost-effective, reliable solutions for moderately complex products.
- Use your technical expertise to support team efforts and client requirements.
Eligibility Criteria
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
- Experience: Open to freshers and candidates with up to 2 years of experience.
Required Skill Set
Technical Proficiency:
- Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python).
- Familiar with software systems design tools and languages.
- Basic knowledge of firmware tools and processes such as DSP and BIOS development.
Cloud and DevOps Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools like CI/CD pipelines.
Problem-Solving and Analytical Thinking:
- Solid understanding of testing, debugging, and coding procedures.
- Ability to analyze problems and deliver effective solutions.
