Key Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer IT Application Developer, you will be responsible for managing, enhancing, and supporting the core systems that drive Amazon’s financial operations globally.
Your Responsibilities Include:
System Support and Operations:
- Lead support and operation of modules within the Oracle e-Business Suite, including receivables, cash management, general ledger, procurement, payables, and fixed assets.
- Deliver high-quality service and operational enhancements for Amazon’s global business.
Business Collaboration:
- Interact with business customers to understand and document their processes and requirements.
- Perform gap analyses and implement system modifications to bridge gaps between requirements and system functionality.
Technical Problem-Solving:
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues by creating SQL queries and working with developers and Oracle support.
- Perform root cause analysis for complex problems and implement effective solutions.
System Configuration and Development:
- Code, design, and implement system modifications.
- Develop ad-hoc reporting using SQL against Oracle tables to support business needs.
Global Collaboration:
- Partner with a diverse set of stakeholders across geographies, driving consensus when conflicting requirements arise.
